About

Dr. Palis is a Senior Scientist with the Harm Reduction and Substance Use Services team in the Population and Public Health Service Line at the BC Centre for Disease Control. She is also an Assistant Professor in the School of Population and Public Health.

Her research uses linked administrative health data to study the implementation of harm reduction and substance use treatment interventions to inform the overdose public health emergency response in BC. She holds an MSc and PhD in Population and Public Health from the School of Population and Public Health at UBC and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry funded by the UBC Institute of Mental Health’s Marshall Fellowship, Health Research BC, and CIHR.
