I conduct research in three areas of population and public health: health of immigrant and refugees children, injury and Indigenous peoples, and the risks of alcohol use during pregnancy.
Over the past decade, I have focused on two major studies, the first being RISC, which is the study of injury in BC’s indigenous populations, and the second being NCCYS, which is the study of the health and well-being of Canada’s immigrant children. I use various methods, including quantitative methods and database linkage, and community-based participatory approaches.
