This monthly global health event series enriches the global health offerings available to students by bringing expert and diverse multidisciplinary speakers from across the greater UBC community and beyond to share their expertise on global health equity and related topics.
The SPPH global health events are interactive and discussion-based presentations where guest speakers discuss their own experiences and current issues in global health. Presenters include professionals from multidisciplinary fields dedicated to global health innovation through scholarship, research and practice. Global health events provide students with an opportunity to critically think through concrete problems unique to global health. Students are also challenged to look at the intersection of working in public health in both local and global contexts and encouraged to think about their future roles as leaders in global public health.
