Dr. Nichole Fairbrother is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Psychiatry and the Island Medical Program.

As the Director of the Perinatal Anxiety Research Lab, her research spans two primary areas: (1) perinatal anxiety disorder epidemiology and (2) postpartum obsessive-compulsive disorder.

She is also engaged in a number of collaborative endeavours in the areas of mode of delivery and location of birth, exercise and pregnancy outcomes, human sexuality, and scale development. Furthermore, she is the primary investigator on a large-scale, multidisciplinary study to assess the prevalence of anxiety disorders among pregnant and postpartum women.
