Dr. Barry Forer is a research methodologist and statistician specializing in early childhood development, education, and care.

His Ph.D. was completed in the Measurement, Evaluation, and Research Methodology program at the UBC Faculty of Education.

At HELP, his research topics have included child care quality and stability, neighbourhood patterns in child development, socioeconomic and demographic influences on developmental health, and the psychometric properties of the Early Development Instrument, the Toddler Development Instrument, and the Childhood Experiences Questionnaire.
