I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia’s School of Population and Public Health.

My research is at the nexus of urban planning, public health, and data analytics. I am particularly interested in applying the concept of cities as data to understand cities as invisible grids and overlapping networks. I am also interested in using cities as a platform to support innovation and co-design of urban spaces towards building healthier communities.

I have a Ph.D. in urban planning from the USC Price School of Public Policy and a dual Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Public Administration from the University of Washington.

I previously worked as a researcher at the Korea Transport Institute and a transportation planner at Nelson/Nygaard Consulting Associates on various projects related to bicycle planning and car sharing.
